Lin Enger is the author of The High Divide and Undiscovered Country (2008). An Iowa Workshop graduate, he is the recipient of a James Michener Fellowship, a Minnesota State Arts Board Fellowship, a Jerome travel grant, and a Lake Region Arts Fellowship. His short stories have appeared in Glimmer Train, Ascent, Great River Review, Wolf Head Quarterly, and other journals. His great-grandfather homesteaded in North Dakota in 1883, and he and his siblings still own the original quarter of land he settled on when arriving from Norway.
